How about a V6 style design, 2 scoops from behind the doors on ths quarter panel, with 2 small radiators, one fitted on each side of the car.

Have a roof scoop for the airbox / filter.

Nice to see that its coming together..

Though i would leave the options there to put an engine in the front in 12-18months time when you have had enough, or raise the cash to do so.

Then again, why does it have to be a renault engine in the front?

What about something like that volvo 440 mod, or some crazy R5 engine, or even better but done before, that audi tt engine thing.

How you plan to insure this thing, how will the brake callipers on the rear handle the power?

Obvious cable throttle,but are you going to have a BIG RED START BUTTON..

im not putting an engine in the front!
r5 engine is no good!
im sticking with 172 engine for a while.
im not using oe rear brakes lol
it will be great wen done!
its fly-by-wire throttle so just got to extend the wires.
no roof scoop as im using windows with ears scoop.
will keep you all informed of progress

amazing but i dont see the point unless your putting one in the front as well.

Make it twin engined and then your talking.

its alright people saying put 2 engines in but its vary rare there any good cause theres so many things that have got to be perfect,i remember a 5 turbo with the engine in the back and its just gripped and went and would do 0-60 in under 4secs

sorry guys iv bin busy away all week in bristol with no access to internet.
no progress tpo report this week.
engine is going in to stay the weekend!
coilovers ordered from k-tec today!
should be rolling shell by sunday afternoon!

my advice would be:
1. keep waight to a minimum
2. sort the weight distribution out to enable drift action
3. fit some phat tyres at rear.
4. ignore anyone who says this is bad idea.
5. kick ass when complete.

most excellent project dude, should be a weapon for a real driver.

Any companies in the North West i could get a job with that do this sort of thing? Engine conversions?

The experience would be beneficial to my Motorsports Degree as well...

obviously weights would be different but how much better will the launch make it etc?

Renault didn't exactly put a hell of a lot of effort in "I know, lets drive a 3.0 v6 laguna into the back of a clio, lock the steering et voila, 3.0 v6 RWD clio..."
