182 Gear Box/Clutch

After driving a 182 yesterday, the main difference i felt in my limited test drive, was the gear box felt different.
Kind of hard to explain, but it felt tighter without so much travel between the gears.

Where there any changes between the clutch/gears of the 172 and 182?
Or is this just because it was a new car?

Or is my clutch going

I think its only the 5th gear that is slightly different, but the rest is the same I think

My gears feel looser than Jordan, compared to the 182, even in 1st and 2nd.

I think it a general 172/182 thing. My gearbox is VERY loose. (like in 3rd i can give it 2inchs of waggle either way)

Sigh.... although until something actually brakes I doubt Renault will care.
