Acid yellow V6 on eBay!

I've got to be one of the biggest v6 fans going but I hate that colour I looked at one before I got my vee and I just don't see the buzz and them that's why it's rare cos it's a crap colour! The only good thing is one owner from new by the looks of things but have the belts bin done seams odd that he's put it up for sale bet there's a deal to be done!

Ive always wondered, do you people who refer to the V6 as "a clio" also say "15k for a 15 year old ford escort" when you see a lovely escort cosworth up for sale at sensible money?

I dont really see how the fact is is "a clio" is particuarly relevant, given that its value is based on it being rare and exotic and desirable to car collectors, which other mk2 clios (trophys go down ok but not anything like to this extent) are not.

It is a crap colour. On any other car it would be getting slated. Just because it's on a Vee doesn't make it look any better.

It's just a washed out Yellowy/Green. Expensive because it's rare doesn't mean it's nice.

No matter how common illiad Blue is it's still the best colour. Liquid Yellow simply attracts tadgers wanting to key and paint stripper your car!

If you could walk in to Renault today and buy one brand new I think I'd still buy Iliad blue! Acid yellow would be my last choice. No way id pay extra for it! I would like a gun metal grey on a vee!

Its £8k more expensive than other examples that are in nicer colours.

That's like a bile coloured Escos being £30k.

Ive not seen a 23K miles pretty much immaculate LY or similar V6 with one owner from new up for 12k TBH so can you show me where you are looking as TBH at that money I would be buying.

So it bought Liquid yellow- which debs now owns ....

LY on those miles- 1 owner- 18/19k private, Acid yellow 16/17k-

the one that had 800 miles 1 owner on LY sold the other week for 22k- thats a bargain...

I don't think any Vee colour divides people more than Acid. Don't like the look of it in photos but a clean example on a sunny day looks simply stunning.

Not sure if I could live with one day to day but then Vee ownership is all about the occassion and few colours can match this for overall impact.

In summary, go Acid or go home

Moonlight for me Colin. But as there's only ever been one - and I doubt James will be up for flogging his sole Deep Bronze at any point soon - I think the more 'common' colours are all that's realistically achievable!

Theres only one Luner out of the 4 I'd have, and thats Shauns, perfect spec and very well looked after.

The rare coloured Vee's will always be an enigma, owning a rare version of a rare car is an exciting prospect for some.

I'd agree that Colin's is the best all-round Vee, it's quite a rare colour, looks great and was a Top Gear car
