what is it, where is it and what happens if you remove it?

Its infront of the passengers side front arch liner, it does naff all imo, so pull it off and get a bigger caf bashed in

its at the start of the induction pipe that leads down to infront of the passenger wheel arch, not alot happens really if its removed, think its there to quiet down induction noise

Is the valve it simply removed, or does it need to be replaced with a blank of some sort?

blank the end of the rubber pipe thats attached to it with a screw

didnt notice any difference at all when i did mine

I removed mine and it made no difference, so I put it back.
