Ive been offered this in px against my saxo. Plus 2k my way, just wondering what you guys thought.
110k but has renault service history and looks well looked after. Proof of dephaser done also.

Anyone know of the car, forum history etc? Ideally id like less mileage but it seems looked after.

That looks proper tidy, but we'd need to know more about your Saxo to know whether it's a good deal - must be a pretty mental Saxo for you to get a 182 and 2k your way.

It's got all the good tasteful mods, engine bay is cleaner than 95% of all other 1*2's, just looks mint all round - I'd be all over it, 1*2 engines are strong, so 110k isn't really any concern, especially if it's been looked after in the same way as the rest of the car.

The Clio looks really nice, but if I'd put that much effort into that Saxo, I'd want to keep it. Plus you don't see often Saxo's anymore.

The latest project thread (for the Clio) has a post on 17th Feb saying more updates to come. There are no more posts but the exhaust has been changed (to what?) and has anything else been done but not updated in the thread?

All in all it seems like a fair shout to me - you get what you want and he gets what he wants. Win/win.

Thanks for the advice, yes the saxo has had alot of money in it but sadly times change. And with a house to pay for i cant afford to keep it on the road just for the odd day.

Any idea why the previous owner is getting rid of it after only 5 weeks? To be fair it still looks mint. Maybe current owner just had a change of mind and wants a track toy.


Chapperz owned it for just over 2 years.

As long as the clio is running well and has no major faults, sounds like a good deal to me. Although it would also entirely depend on the value of your own car

Also its worth valuing the 182.
Its fine for everyone to say its a nice one etc but they arnt really worth all that much anymore so it all depends how much your saxo is worth at the end of the day!

Citroen In My Opinion Not As Equipped Or Well Made As a Renault. The Pedals Are Made For Dwarfs No Offense To Anyone. The Colour Again My Opinion Better Than Saxo. Overall Look Is Better Than Saxo. Looks Much More Modern.

Deal seems ok to me, would rather have the saxo, but money talks really. Especially if you need it more than a spaffy car
