I dont understand that at all....I also ran a couple of other 172 marks and came up with the same result, very strange.
When in 2002 did they start checking CO2 emmisions ?
 
Gareth is right, Insurance has gone up to £190 for cars in tax bracket F (172/182) cars from 2001 onwards are all eligible for grading.

I think that ruling came into play last year.
