cam belt been done?

Need some advice please.I bought my 2003 plate phase 2 172 about 2 years ago as a cat c.The car is on 44k at the moment.When i bought the car it had very little service history hence no proof that the cam belt has been done.Am i right in thinking when a insurance company rights a car off they request the service history for value etc.Now my question is if renault have done my cambelt will it be on their system if i was to give them a call?

If any work has been carried out at Renault you should be able to get the info. Not sure if you need to pin point the specific dealer for the info though?

Main dealers are a waste of time you may as well ring the ASDA !!!!

Thought it was a bit of a long shot.Going to have to bite the bullet and get it done asap.
