Hi Guys ,got a very frustrating problem with a clio 197 diff seal n/s I have swapped it because it was leaking but it keeps leaking even with new seal fitted I fitted one and it lasted 2 days ,when I stripped it down again I realised i'd pushed it too far in so I got another one and fitted it flush but its still leaking ! im beginning to think I have the wrong seal ? there is a metal ring on the collar of the shaft but I can't see what it does ? I have checked that shaft is fully located and it is but i'm at a loss now ,any ideas greatly appreciated ,ps the seal on the offside of box has a rubber collar on it that fits nicely round the shaft if that helps ?
