clio 200 light switchs dont light up when lights are on

on my clio 200 the electric window switches do not light up both sides of the car and the mirror adjuster when the lights are on is that how it should been its a 62 regs 2.0l

Only the early 200s had lights in the switches.

It's normal!
There's no need to see them at night anyway.
