Daytona Grey Audi TT Black Edition 'Amplified' Protection Detail

Hi all! I recently carried out another new car protection detail, this time on a Daytona Grey Audi TT Black Edition 'Amplified', which gives it the same black highlights, wheels and spoiler as the TTRS! This one was carried out at Tetbury Audi.

IronX dissolved the iron filings and brake dust embedded in the paintwork, something not usually done by valeters and will leave the surface rough and reduce the longevity of any paint protection.

Purple runs show the dissolving of embedded iron!

Tar contamination was non-existent and the paint was now very smooth apart from a few small places, but glass needed claying to remove a slight film before G1 application.

Stunning Andy. One of your best finishes to date imo. The colour helps of course.

It's actually better looking that an RS as the extras are black instead of garish Silver. :)

Wheels aren't for that but what a lovely machine. RS looks with TT running costs.

Oh and I HATE people who put old year plates on newer cars!!!!! You've just aged the car 3 years!

Great work got to say you've come along way(in a good sense).

Seems the business is going well. Love the new TT's

Looks lovely, but those wheels are nasty!

Not a fan of TT's normally but that looks great. Lovely finish.

Cracking work Andy, lovely colour that.

Well it would look silly with SE14 WAX?

Thanks guys. :)

I'm not too sure on the plate either but it's quite noticeable to those who would care!

Looks awesome, until you start it up and hear the clattery noise :(

They don't sound bad and they are quite quick, but I don't think I could spend that amount of money without paying for a petrol one.

Thanks mate, means a lot.

Thanks Gally, as said, means a lot.

Yea that's true about the black instead of silver on the TTRS.

Exactly my thoughts and it's really quite impressive looking for the price. The interior is such a nice place to be!

Absolutely lovely finish dude, as usual, how comes nothing semi permanent went on?

Thanks Ant.

The dealership paid towards the detail because their valeters aren't up to par so it was built into the deal. The owner is quite a handy detailer from what I gather (owner of Waxattack), so he didn't want to spend much extra on top of the contributions, just wanted it prepped the best it could be.

  V6 255, 172's, JCW,
It's amazing, the amount of contaminates already on the car. The brand new Caddy we bought back in 2008 was returned to the dealer because of marks on the paint. Contamination that they refered to as 'fall-out'. Apparently is where the new vehicles are left next to the railway line at Wolfsberg, and the crap thrown up by passing trains and the sparks from the overhead lines caused it.

Just thought id is share my tale lol

The TT looks spot on dude, lovely job.

Grey Black RS looking diesel TT is confusing but beautiful, great job.

Dealership plate surrounds make me cry.

Looks awesome after the detail. It's amazing how much contamination there is upon delivery.

The back end and wheels look gash on that car though (The styling, not your work!)
