Dumb question on removing standard numberplate

Hi All... I need to swap my rear numberplate on my 172 over to a new one as the orignal one has cracked and got dirt inside and does not look great. So, I removed the yellow caps and took out the screws, but the plate will not come off!!! does anyone know how they are attached as I don't want to force it off and do any damage...

This should be a simple task I know!

Probably doubled sided tape. Pull harder.

mine had double sided tape ...just need to eat more spinach.

Ah cheers... I just didn't want to attempt ripping it off only to find I have removed half the paint work on the boot lid!

Warm it up with a hair dryer, it will warm up the glue and come off easy.
