Engine/ignition noise through speakers.

OK so I have been looking for what sounded like a trim rattle for over a week, as it turns out I was wasting my time as it appears to be electrical interference through the stereo but only when aux is selected on the stereo.
Anyone else had this?
It reminds me of the old interference issues on old radios when you could literally tune into your engine before suppressors were fitted.

Is your aux cable a cheap shitty one?

If so, spend at least £10 on one and it should be better.

Nope, good quality cable.
Will try another one though.

When i used to get stuff like this I would earth the head unit housing directly to ground and it usually worked
Maybe that's a bit old school :/
