Evo 9 Clean (pic heavy)

  Turbo 182 Alfa 159
A friend asked me if I could take a look at his 470bhp Evo 9, the paint was a bit dull and covered in swirls and scratches what look to be from going through car washes. So I said I would take a look and see what I could do. 20 hours later it rolled back out the garage.

Didn't take many before photos. More just along the way and then the afters. Car was machined with Meguiars DA and their dual action compound and some 50 Cal cover up, G3 was also used on the bonnet as that was horrific. Its still not perfect but imo it needs wet sanding or maybe someone who is better with a polisher. Headlights were cloudy and scratched badly as were the rear lights.

Finished in Zaino Z2 with Frost Azure wax. Carbon/wheels protected with Frost Armour sealant. Tyres done with Gyeon Q2 Tyre. Plastics done with 303 aerospace and Auto finesse Revive. Glass was given a coat of Gtechniq G5. Door/boot and underneath the bonnet were all given a quick wipe down with bouncers done and dusted.

I'll let the photos do the rest.

What is it with EVO owners and s**t plates. My mate Dave has a 6 with shite plates on it. Absolutely beautiful car though.

Simply epic.

For people who don't 'get' Evos or are mere badge-snob sheep - it's a shame they can't borrow a car like this for a day!

Yip
I've had a few cars and two have been Evos
They are one of the best handling and drivers car out there
A little twitchy but a awesome car
The badge snob sheep that really hate Evos tend to be stuparu owners
And I've had six stuparus but the evo is still the better car by a long while
Back to the car above its very nice and great job

Mine was massively more capable than my meagre talents. I ran out of balls, loooooooong before the car said enough-was-enough!

Are Evo's smaller/more nimble than Impreza's? I always thought my Impreza was too big for me lol, I'm only small :p they kind of look it in pictures but maybe it's deceptive. What's the weight comparison?

Think they are both about the same weight
Bb but Don't get me wrong a Subaru is a great car but it kind of just does things itself even though your trying to tell it what to do
While the evo just keeps doing what it's told and keeps on giving
I've had a evo at Crail power sliding at over 100mph
Any Subaru I've had has given up at these speeds and was just wanting to under steer all the time
I'm currently looking at getting another evo at the moment
Just need to shift my r34 skyline first to get a little cash
Again the evo above looks awesome and would love to own it

Very nice spec c
I'm just talking about your bog standard evo to Subaru but a spec c is a different animal that's like saying a fq400 is better than a standard Subaru
Your limited editions are different animals from your basic evo and Scooby
I still rate the evo even though I've had more scoobys Than Evos
The Scooby just seems to give up the ghost far to early on Tarmac roads
But on gravel it's a different story the Scooby is superb while evo a little twitchy
That's my view on the two cars

Lovely Evo! Great colour too

Sorry to go off topic, Scott, doesn't the Spec C normally have a carbon wing on the boot?
The pics I have seen of these before have had carbon spoilers on? Or am I looking at the wrong thing?
