Exhaust mount reinforcing fix - a heavy K-Tec Stealth

  Freetrack&Monaco 172
Bought a new mount for my exhaust as it the last one had finally given up the ghost after 10 months of holding my K-Tec Stealth system up. I have had the car just over 2 years and this is the 3rd I have fitted.

After getting fed up with the frequent replacement schedule I decided to do the proper thing and reinforce the new one before I fitted it.

Parts used, 7 cable ties and 3 pieces of steel tube approx 1 1/2" long, one was 1" diameter and the other two were 3/4".

Dead old one:

And now in 'Stealth' fitment......should do nicely!

Folk have been doing this mod for years mate.

Worthwhile doing even on a stock system imo

I know they have, just finally getting around to it and documenting it properly for others to find useful.

For such an expensive mount compared to most cars they are pretty crap at doing their job lol.
