Flamer kits

  Mk4 golf gti

how do these work on non turbod cars etc i no on a turbo the back pressure spits the flames out of the exhaust but on weedy engined cars such as mine how does it work and how much does it cost to get them

Cheers

on turbos they overfuel more, there is a spark plug in the exhaust which sparks and sets light to the unburnt fuel, NA cars dont overfuel as much, so dont flame as well...

some kits use a bottle of gas that sprays into the exhaust just as the spark plug is activated by the coil to ignite it. tbh its all a bit sad. unless you have a big power motor and a nice hot exhaust then you might as well leave it well alone. you also run the risk of getting in trouble with plod if you fit one. lets face it cars that manage to flame without the kit do so as a by product. the kit has one sole purpose and i cant see the police being too impressed with what is basically a crude flame thrower on the back of your car

Flames do look smart tho...

I was coming to the RR on sat and was following my mates Punto GT...This TT was coming up behind us so we dropped a gear...and flames popped outta his exhausts...looked smart...and this was without the flamer mind u.

Wish I took a picture of it.

my clio overfuels like mad, and with a hot exhaust, on overrun it will shoot big flames out without the need for a flamer kit, the gas ones are gay as hell lol

get a gas one add some nos and youve got a proper flamer kit:D

(also would be VERY VERY dangerous)

my valver has a curling flame (only about the size of you hand though)

well u wont have problems ppl tailgating u.... just set the front of the mo foes car on fire "BOMF"

*flames are mint*(small or big :D)

LOL Ben the little popping flashes are quality. Big curling flames are like that Craterface geezer off of Grease in his hotrod.

Best flames are those done by a car naturally. If you need a flamer kit to make it flame, its cos your cars too feeble to manage it otherwise. A bit like Viagra. I mean even people who dont know anything about cars at all would see a Saxo Westcoast going down the high street and call them a w**ker if flames come out the exhaust because its perfectly obvious that its not a natural by-product of a meaty rough engine, but a stupid contraption of some kind to shoot out flames!
