Yoz has asked me to say he is away at the ring for a while testing the engine, and will answer emails etc on his return.

Love the colouring. I take the box has been painted as well?

I take it this isnt the engine hes testing at the ring though.

it was not the rod that bent first..

the rod bearings failed then the cap fell / broke off.

dont need steel crank below 8000 rpm

its got ARP high tensile rod bolts to be safe.

there are no verniers available for this engine.

the block and rods have been treated to some work as well, but are std new components.

Oh and what box is this running, is it a 6spd sequential jobbie as per the Cup racers?

Im guessing the one on the right is different due to the VVT system and has oil pressure actuated phasing.
