Gearbox Refurbishment

Hi all
So changed my box for a new one. Now need to fix my old one so i can keep if my other goes or to sell on.
Just need any hints or tips on doing it.




Only prob i have at the moment is that when i split the old one this fell out.

Any idea where it may be from?
