Had my iphone today, went through all the set-up had an e-mail about setting up a mobileme, i go onto mobileme and it says it is not a mobileme account. how am i able to text and ring? should have stayed with blackberry

Ignore MobileMe. That's old.

"Text and ring" is with your network. Have they activated your sim yet?

it doesn't hinder any features on the phone

Wait for your network to connect you. Sometimes this takes 24 hours.

Didn't they explain this to you when you upgraded?

Turn it off and on? i was waiting all day for it to work... it didnt, so i turned it off and on and it worked straight away

sim card is in, i have turned it off and on but gettign nothing

Have a look in the sim card pack there will be instructions on how to activate it online. Mine took nearly 48hrs after activation.

i cant use the new phone, its not registered, ive phoned up orange and they say it should be done in the next 2 hours. God help them if it doesnt! been trying since 10am to get this thing working.
