help with laptop

i have got Adobe photoshop CS2 i load the program up and as when the loading screen appears it shows you what its loading e.g. plugins etc and when it gets to the "Reading Gobal Text resources" it stops respnding any one know whats going on with it

you logged on with an Administrator account and seen if there are any updates pending? I've seen this on a few machines at work before and updating it seems to help.
