Is it noticably quicker than the clio?

Yes mate. Side by side from a standing start then the clio wouldn't be far behind. Anything from rolling in gear then the megane would be gone

I was told it was, and it is quicker than I expected it to be. I hope it is standard map wise as it'll be immense once mapped

That's fair enough, I don't know who does the short shifter mod these days, used to be a fella named Andrew. I'm pretty sure I saw a Bookface post on the meganesport page saying someone else was doing it.

I think Megane's are fantastic cars, and although they're not massively quicker than Clio's the way they drive is far more impressive IMO. I'm still not sure they make good track cars as they're too easy to drive, but I definitely miss mine.

Compared to a Clio exhaust it is yeah, but you can hear it start a good few metres away when sat in the house.

True, when i had my clio turbo'd it went from n/a loundness to turbo silentness! I had to get a custom built one and its still not massively loud with no silencers or cat, just one rear box.
