New Mini Clubman

  172
you clearly have no idea.

Thats the worst Mini yet and the normal one is ugly.

Now come on! :rasp:

Hes entitled to his own views and opinions.....theres never a right or wrong answer when it comes to taste! As we all know its incredibly personal!

I remember when the escort was replaced with the Focus...most car magazines etc. were very uncertain about its looks...and now you dont give one a second glance really. I find models tend to grow on you.

The Clubman is not going to appeal to your typical estate buyer - i.e. people who buy work horses like subaru forresters etc. Its a 'statement' car...and I dont think anyone can argue that it doesnt have road presence...whether that be for the right or wrong reasons!

Read HIS statement before commmenting then.

A EURO'd Mini Clubman?

The normal mini cant pull off any Euro look never mind an estate/van.

You have no idea either im afraid..

It's not the final uk spec version afaik.

I'm sure I read that the rear passenger "suicide" door needs to be located on the other side for our market on safety grounds.

No there is only one spec mate, the door will only be on the drivers side in the UK due to the cost of having to produce two different bodys for different countries. This is because of the fuel tank location and other issues.

Trust me there is no saftey issue, if there is enough room to open the drivers door there is plenty for the suicide one :)

Quite honestly Ive never understood the modding scene...I couldnt tell you what a euro look was! but I would never slate anyone for doing it....regardless of my opinion.

All I have tried to say is give the bloke who thinks it will look good euro'd a chance - Whats wrong with being individual and having your own ideas?

Getting back to the Mini - its fun, interesting and quirky - not everyones taste - but its fresh! surely thats got to be good?

and by the way - vist www.peugeot.co.uk/308 to order the brochure for your new car :) you will love it!!!
