Remap question

This might be a stupid question, but what would happen if you remapped a 1.2 16V Dynamique??

I know fooook all about engines and am just curious.

Apparently it's a 10% power hike. Not bad if you're planning on keeping the car for a year or so imo.

bugger all difference prob

moeny either best saved up for a 172/182 or a few sytlish mods on the 1.2 i.e. springs wheels etc

7Bhp roughly if done by RSTuning I believe so would probably make a fairly noticeable difference I should imagine

As you lot can prob tell I know bugger all when it comes to engines....

Tell me in lehmans terms...what actually is a remap?

not sure but when a manufacturer releases a car they have to setup the engine management system to suit all the markets it will be sold in(fuel quality), and manufacturing tolerances

a remap will refine the engine to our better quality fuel and etc etc

but dont quote me lol

no not at all, as long as your ins knows about it

most manufacturers will invalidate your warranty though

they map well was sure a gain of around 7bhp and similar torque gain was to be had, think thats on a standard one too, more to be had with different exhaust,cat and filter
