Rev drop?

Just a little query really, not sure as I have never driven another RS so don't know if its a common trait. Car drives, fine no complaints apart from what feels like a massive drop in revs when the clutch in depressed to change gear. Now I know with the clutch in the revs will drop but, it feels like the engine isn't 'spinning' enough and so the revs fall too fast. Normal, fault or just being a noob? Any help most appreciated.Tom
