RSTuner = Locked ECU

Well it turns out some of the rstuners
(Probably the newer ones) basically lock your ECU so that companies such as K-tec can't map your car.

They always cause problems, it's not just the later ones. You may be right that the later versions have become even more of a problem to get rid of

Means mapping it off the car and not via the Obd port.

Im gona guess the guys at K-tec would have tried that this afternoon. and obviously had no luck. they are looking at how to basically unlock it tho.

Spoke to Andy about it Briefly. He's got to boot load it as mentioned above. The lock outs are stupid really, it's not like absolutely everyone hasn't got the maps anyway

Not that I want to get mine mapped again but think this takes it a bit far with the whole locking business.
