some one reversed into me today, again!

  LY R26
Well Ive been driving since march and already Ive had two people drive into me, first was when I was working and the car was in the car park, scuff and scratch was left on driver side rear arch. Today I was parked across from the shops, and I was speaking to one of the owners as Im in there quite alot, when he asks me what car I have.

This is where we look out the window so I can show him, but to my surprise/horror, we watched some man reverse into the front of it!! Well as you could imagine I was quite annoyed at this point. Anyway I go outside to see to the problem and the boy went to drive away! So I picked up the pace and got infront of him and was like err you just hit my car? The cheeky B****RD tried to say it was my fault as I was too close? I left enough space to fit a car between mine and his instead of being greedy and he still managed to hit me.

Anyway I have his details and that but the scuff isn't that bad, is there anyway I could cut it out as I dont really have the time to get it booked into a specialist atm, also dont have any pictures as its too dark, but the paint hasn't been broken there is just a scuff above the bumper inserts about a foot and a half long but there not constant, any ideas?

Try T Cut, I had a similar problem yesterday, and it was just a Tcut job, literally one wipe. What would one do if the paint was cracked?

well if the paint had broken then would it not need resprayed? i was thinking t-cut, the scratch left by the first time needs touched up i think:(

thanks mate

Farecla G3. It's what I use to remove scratches (I work in a bodyshop), it's pretty abrasive but won't just simply burn all the lacquer off your paint by hand like T-Cut will. Just don't use it with a machine if you're a novice.

need pics mate to estimate. Depending on what way it is a combination of either polish, clay and or wet sanding.. if the laquer is still there but heavily scraped 3000grit wet a dry then polish.

**edit**

p.s you can get Farecla G3 from ebay but its very rough..

You can get it off ebay or in some small motor factors etc, just need to look for it, it's certainly not as rough as wet sanding. Try to get the liquid compound not the paste compound as it's not as abrasive, then just go over it with something finer like SRP etc to bring back the shine a bit more.

JCC I agree its not as rough as wet sanding but at least with sanding you go slowly and check regularly with G3 not knowing what to do you just keep rubbing :p

Unlucky, don't know how some people pass their tests but no doubt people that hit your car passed their test in the 60s when all you had to be able to do was see more than ten feet infront of them

had my dad get the t cut out and it made a slight difference, it isnt deep or that its just stubborn, my mates cousin works in a body shop which i found out today and is right into his detailing so will maybe need to pay him a visit. im not away to wet sand anything as il make it worse:(
