Spacers, bolts, studs and confusion

  Clio 172 Cup
Hi all. I know this topic has been covered a lot, but having just been through a bazillion different threads I'm still a bit confused.
I'm considering buying 15mm H&R hubcentric spacers for my front wheels. They're not the kind that you can bolt straight to the hub. Car is a 172 Cup, standard shocks, Cooksport springs, Turinis.
My confusion is over my fixing options:
- Longer bolts. But various people say that over about 10mm this isn't a good idea, even with hubcentrics.
- Stud conversion. PMS kit seems highly regarded but they don't recommend using spacers larger than 12mm.
- Longer studs. Struggling to work out which are good and which are dodgy Ebay specials
Any experience and advice would be welcome.
Cheers.

I ended up machining my own spacers after using H&R spacers for several years. But for longer bolts id go for a proven seller like h&r themselves, performancealloys.com or larkspeed.

For 15mm spacers longer bolts will be fine. I've got 20mm on long bolts atm. You only want bolt to hub spacers for 25mm+ spacing.

i use 15mm spacers (the ones that just slide on the studs) on PMS stud kits, and have had them for many road miles andd been on track a few times, quite a few people running this setup and its all fine.
