Toxic Fume Warning Light

ok just to say
i had the toxic fume warning light on my dash (not flashing)
so i took it to the family mechanic who plugged his laptop into the car
it was something to do with the bandwidth in the car
due to me stalling or the engine cut out it memorized the error and the car kept rembering it.
so to sort it out he lowered the bandwidth in the car to its lowest
