Whats the point

  Impreza Turbo

Call me niave, Thick or even stupid, but what is the whole point of lowering your vehicle? Is it to give a sleek look or improve the handling? Personally as long as it sounds good, ie ICE and Engine note, then i dont realy see the point. But as a relative noob to this car modding scene, i feel i have to understand it, to appreciate it.
I like Alloys on a car, and can understand why big is often better. But its the lowering that confuses me.

Depends what you use to lower the car, but 90% of the time its purely for looks I think.

how does it improve the aero dynamicness??
thought maybe the closer to the ground it was the less airflow beneath the car therefore improving its aero dynamics. i can accept this may not be the case as i conjured it up in my had through my own logic...which may not be all that logical afterall.

david its a clio not a f1 car ;)
they use ground effects as do things like skylines etc thats why they make the underside of the car basically totaly smooth and all that jazz lowering a car 30mm wont make it any quicker or change the amount of downforce or lift :D

but hypothetically speaking its logical. Therefore through the course of logic i can assume my -40mm PI springs must have increased power to the car by 10 bhp!! wicked (of course im joking, sure ur right dogmaul).

yep i have a QS5 not bought its a motability car, but i would like to buy it.

Handling loweres the center of gravity and reduces the weight transfer during cornering so you can go round bends faster.

Thats the only reason Ive lowered my car.
