Thought I'd remove the stickers and give it a wash, not used the car for a few weeks.

Nice to see it being looked after, I threw a lot of money at the car in the short time I owned it but it was great fun, did me really well!! The guy I got it from Nathan was a top guy too, he loved it and had really looked after it!

Well im not sure about you but even on a standard gearstick I've properly reaching forward to change gear. It removes the involvement of driving fast for me.

I'm not sure what you mean. Having a shorter, more positive shift surely is more involving?

I've had a B&M shortshift on my Ph1, and then the OE setup on my 182. I'd take the B&M any day. As long as you don't rush the 'boxes.

My 200's not got that issue, the shift's really good in standard form.

In my original post I said a shorter gear stick as in the length of it not the actual reduced throw.

I think having a longer gear stick with the same amount of throw works well as you're closer to the steering wheel rather than reaching down to change gear. Much like the megane shifter or the pms one.

If you have a longer stick, the throw is longer because you're further from the pivot point.

A quickshift shortens or modifies the linkage, rather than just the stick. So you could have a quickshift with an even longer stick for the same net result.

Yes. Unless you modify the location of the pivot point.

Youre completely missing my point. Again, in my original post I wasn't slating the short shift. I was slating the small gear stick, as you're reaching down to change gear.

You can have a long gear stick with a short shift much like the Ashley brenau version of the megane shifter on here where the linkage underneath the gearstick housing is chopped, reduced in length and welded back on to provide a shorter throw with a longer gear stick shaft.

Had a few jobs done over the past week or two and looking at doing a couple more.

New mounts, spacers, h&r springs. Will upload pics over the weekend but I am absolutely made up with the car, it drives and looks exactly how I want it. Massive thanks to Carl @bloke for doing the work. The only contribution I made was buying the parts and driving the car on the ramp lol. But yeah made up :)

Not selling it yet Dan? haha.

@bloke do you work from a garage as a day job or just do odd jobs for friends? My 182 is feeling a little sloppy steering wise and I would like someone who knows these cars to have a look over it for me...without the huge trip to all of the specialists that I have from here.

I don't think the quality/flexibility is an issue with these guys, from what I'm led to believe anyway.
