That wasn't an insult, Max Power in it's earlier days was actually about cars with decent engine mods that were lowered with alloys and a respray for the most part. It didn't get more about lairy bodykits on 1.1 Saxos until the early 00's.

As it was the early 90's people tended to modify cars from the 80's such as the mk1/2 Astra, mk3/4 Escort, Nova etc.
