i think that is an iconic weapon, but i don't find it very good, i hardly used it, it's up to you if you want to read further :-

Chaos dropped by Royce after if you kill him in the pickup mission, and when you complete the Monk Mission for Regina Jones, you get the Fenrir, SMG which is so good, well worth picking up, on the table next to the monk, i also picked the Kong up at on the heist mission, whilst not brilliant, it's silent so lets you off people with no fuss.
I did kill him. I picked it up (just checked as I knew it was a red gun) then I died escaping. When I loaded back in (to where I killed him) there was no loot on the ground and it wasn't in my backpack 🤔
Wonder if I can go back and have a look around for it?

Or load a previous save? strange it wasn't there?

Again it's not a gun i have used a lot, but it's still worth having.

A shame that the higher upgrades get less meaningful yet the resources proportionally are quite high.

I mean, circa 10% damage increase on this - but with no other stat changes at all?

Why would you not want more damage? You'll get those resources relatively quickly, especially around Haywood.

I'm trying to get Lizzy Wizzy to message me so I can do her gig before I head into DTown.
i really want to try and play a mix of shooting but using Cyberdecks as well, apparently Cyberdecks work really well against the bosses and harder opponents.

I do - but there are ten values on there and yet all the upgrade does is lazily add a bit of extra damage.

Chuck on 5% damage, 3% cyberware damage, 4% dismemberment damage with the upgrade - or better, add a bit of RNG to it and mash it up a bit. Randomise the upgrade so one might be great at something, others not as much.

Just seems a wasted opportunity. Like having Forza or Gran Turismo upgrades where you have a load of car stats on show - but then offer you nothing other than a better tyre that gives you 3 seconds off around the 'Ring.

Great. Thanks.

So I did the brain dance tutorial last night and have just finished the meeting with Evelyn.
Should I jump straight into the mission or is it worth just f**king around? I got offers to go fighting in various places so might do some of that?

Also, do you get anything extra when doing the optional parts of the missions? I didn't meet the agent last night before going into the Wholefoods warehouse.

Will have a few hours tonight on it I think.

I think you do get some extras for completing all the options mate, it really depends on how you want to play the game, first time i did a mix of main and side missions, but didn't really bother too much doing the NPC jobs that show up, i am now doing mainly side missions and any NPC jobs i see come up which is a good way to level up, earn money and street cred, which in my opinion helps you more in the main story quest, i think i have only done about 3 or 4 main missions, and i am Level 22, and have about 300,000 eddies, plus some decent weapons.

i little tip for you, if you are looking to do the fight club invest in some Gorilla arms on your Cyberware, they help you a fair bit.

@Ay Ay Ron as @Willo40 has said, you need to upgrade before taking on Beat the Brat gigs. Past the first one, which is the guy that's a clone they ramp up in difficulty. High Body will help heaps.

As for Missions and earning more, its very dependent on how you wanna play the game. Sometimes the options don't add anything to it, just more dialogue.

I'd say, explore, explore, explore! Look behind stuff, in stuff, on top of stuff. Invest in Impoved Tendens for the double jump, makes some gigs/jobs way easier.

Oh and scan, scan, scan. Whether you're a cyberdeck build or not, you can still "scan". There's containers that have stashes in them dotted about.

I seem to have pisses some cyber ninjas off already. Just driving around and I'll get attacked

Just waiting around for the guy to get his cyber dick sorted, had time to kill so cleared out an area, found a sniper rifle and some other bits.

Only at L8 so can't do anything with arms until L10. Will wait a bit to do that.

If you clear out gang members for the plod their brothers and sister won't be best pleased so will attach if they spot you.

Have you been Sleeping every hour in game? If you sleep in game for any amount of time, it gives you extra XP for an hour IRL. Showering does the same for health too.

There is a form of honour system in the game but it's far from perfect.

Sometimes if you get involved with a shoot out between plod and lets say Tyger Claws, some times plod get pissed with you. However, occasionally, you'll come across two cars shooting at each other, if you attack one car, the other car is cool with you and you'll both attack the one car.

Yes, i have noticed that, the other night i was clearing a gang out for the plod, and a passing patrol car stopped and started shooting me.

Have you got the Phantom Liberty DLC? if you have when did you start it? or does it start automatically as you play through the game?

Think I've slept once when I was told to at the start of the game.
I'll try to remember to do this.

I noticed a police shootout against a gang. I thought I'd chime in and kill the gang for the police, neither were happy with me for doing it!

While your low level just sit off and wait, usually the police see them off in the end and then you can walk in and loot all the goodies.. (y)

Yeah and it starts only once your level 30 and you complete the Missions for the Voodoo Boys if I recall. I might be wrong about the level but it's only after that point in the story. Don't rush to Dogtown though, you'll have a bad time, if you think it's hard in Night City, Dtown is another level.
