New Member - Clio 4 DCi

Car  ‘15 Clio 4 DCi 90
I’ve had my recently created account a few weeks now & I’ve been egregiously nagged by a good friend to get posting, so here goes my little (not really) introduction.

Hello, my name is Simeon but people usually stick to ‘Sim’ so I don’t gotta hear how they butcher the pronunciation.
I’ve got a 2015 Renault Clio IV DCi 90 1.5 8v & have done for just under 2 years now. This is my 2nd car with my 1st being a 2009 Megane Dynamique 110 1.6 16v VVT.

I’m currently in the long process of modifying the car, making my way through a list of things both inside & out. I’m a big fan of the early 2000’s modding scene & to kinda keep in touch with that, I’m doing period mods to the car.
My friend I mentioned a moment ago has been urging me to make a start on covering the progression of the modifications. I’ve gotten a few bits done so far & plenty of progress pictures to match. Nothing major though but it’s all stuff I’m hoping to cover in detail more in the future & with lots more planned.

A 4th-Gen Clio (& a DCi at that) is probably not the best choice for modding, but I’m doing it mainly for my own enjoyment, as a bit of a long-term learning curve; figuring out the car & engine, while having an end goal of just something no one else really has.

Anyways it’s great to be here & I hope whatever comes out of this is at least entertaining, nice meeting everyone.

The photo was taken not long after buying the car.

Great cars, my wife had one from new and put 160k on it in 3 years with nothing more than oil every 10k and a few sets of discs, pads pads and tyres!

Hers was mapped with a bluefin from a few weeks old and went really well!

I’ve had mine mapped for about 2 months now with a catback exhaust also built not long afterwards. I got mine with 102K miles & I’ve put another 30k more on over the past two years, with regular servicing when it’s needed it. It’s never let me down, I can’t fault it.
