Short shocks if more than 40?

  fiesta 1.25
Ive lowered my car 35mm but it needs to be lower so im thinking of lowering it 50mm all round on cobras but will i need new shocks too?

You don't need to change the shocks can go down 60mm its just the shocks will wear more how much quicker is difficult to say. Put it this way on stock springs I had worn the dampers in under 50k to a level I wasn't happy with. Other have had springs on for 60k and are still happy with the ride there no easy way to say how long they will last.

As for 30/35/50/60mm springs here all PR rubish IMO anyway they never mean what they say you've never get true 40mm lowering you need to speding money on some decinet suspension to get a decient ride and porer X amount lowering of a car.

Im on a budget and im pissed off that i have to loose money on the springs i have just put on the car.Its now a choice between cobra 50mm springs or spax 60mm.Also anyone for some spax 35mm springs for clio 1998>?

ive just been having the same decisions chris mate, i want around 40mm, so it would be either eibach sportline springs or apex 40mm kit. seem to be getting alot of mixed opinions, people dont like apex now, and also getting the view that just fitting springs will kill my shockers.

It will over time. How long no one knows plus the ride isn't ideal.

you can get a nice 40mm kit from spax for £250 ride is very stiff. wouldnt reccomend a 60mm with the way the goverment is going with speed bumps. My 40mm drop handles great and dont tend to bottom it
