few quick sneaky progress pics

Just an update on how the progress is coming along! not gonna post any proper pics till shes done though ;) Got all my engine bits back from the machine polisher today to go with all my yellow samco hosing and i'm mightly impressed. Was gonna get everything chrome plated but i've been told it will effect my manifold matching (which is where it will be going at the end of the week). Also sent my bits off for the sides colourcoded. Im using a new bodyshop so i'm just giving them the sides to start, and seeing how good a job they do then i shall be giving them my handles, new boot, and i may get my bumper resprayed before fcs due to the stone chips its encountered already. Ordering my suspension next week (however currently debating between KW coilovers or 4pots), and hopefully will have a few other goodies on before fcs.

funnily enough i was loving the **** look, but then i got outside and my bloody dad had washed them off lol!
 
fair play mate - going for it! even doen the throttle body!! I have been meaning to get a spare to polish but as its a moving part want to keep my original as I know it works well.

Are you putting a cover on the engine?

Samco pipe should be available next week hopefully - They are defienately doing them - Im having mine for free for taking my car in. Will sort one for you asap mate.
 
can you really get that mirror finish from metail polish or do you have to do some pre work with a sander dremal etc etc looks awesome buddy

I may do and engine cover ins ome funky colour scheme not sure if i'm gonna fit it or not, cos i love the sexy shiny look. Gonna be getting chrome strut top covers, strut brace, header tank so should be a bit bling lol.

clidge - i paid a machine polisher to do it, i've just gotta spend a few hours with the metal polish getting it uber bling

as for the sexy carpet... you knowsit ;)

I got another little plan in the works for more under engine bling too but keeping quiet on that hahah ;)

lol i'm a bit of a cleaning geek anyway, dont think my girlfriends so chuffed about it though!

tis indeed! i've used hodgeys bodyshop in cheadle as they did a mint job on his car hes also cool as f**k lol

if they do a s**t job i'll be going to lock and hankey but to be honest last time i went they pissed me off due to the fact they wouldnt just give me a quote and wnated to 'send one to me'

well if you do ever go there, it will be the last bodyshop you use as you wont want to go anywhere else :D
 
good stuff! I'm only paying 70 quid for the sidestrips though so i thought may as well give it a go as all the others wanted 150 +
 
looking good middo i take it the target is fcs then?its approaching pretty fast at the moment ned to get myself into gear and get the lowering sorted!go for the coilovers :D
 
i love marks threads, never know what hes going to do next and everytime he produces some more great work, good stuff dude cant wait to see it in the flesh for FCS!

yeah the target is fcs. should be spending a good few pennies on her before then! Real aim is for FCS next year however when she'll be fully done :approve:
