Which includes Live Trace.

Does anyone use this tracing feature? Is it good?

CS2 now replaced by CS3 both have live trace. Works well, dependant on source image/file used - has saved me a fair bit of time.

CS2 and Cs3 are great, Live Trace works very well with good quality raster images.

not a fan of the trace feature in CS2 not tried CS3 yet no need as most industry work places have only just got CS2, id rather just use my pen and lasoo tool

I have had many perfect reproductions using the Trace tool which has saved in total many hours of work.

Indeed - all depends what you are doing, full colour raster image into a vector 2 colour image in seconds, sod that with your pen tool!

Not as simple as that now it has to be activated online.

It's an effect in illustrator that converts raster images into vector based!
