Best number of revs

When changing from gear 3 to 4, how many revs do you usually go up to? How many is it *safe* to reach?

Any you like. The rev limiter stops you going into an "unsafe" zone.

if you over rev it you will not get any benefit if you hit the limiter the car will bog down and not pick up as quick in the next gear
