To all you replica boys...

Car  Megane DCi 147bhp/350nwm
Come on...how to make a 172 bumpet fit to none sport wings.

Lets not say - glue, or tape etc

Exactly how you made it fit and what you used :):)

glue, tape and bath sealant.

;)

dutty and jamie (combine) are the people to ask.

imo the person who has done this the neatest is william, it looks like it was meant for the car :approve:

Grrrr....what if i don't want the sport wings - go away if you're going to be stupid!

oh yeh didnt think about that if it was me jigsaw it in the middle take abit out of each side then electrical tape it togther jobs a gooden lol

if you dont want sport wings you will have to cut it to i size i think then fibreglass it togther etc but then that will work out more expensive than getting the wings

For some reason, i'm not doubting you as i'm unsure myself BUT...i don't think you have to cut and fibreglass!??!

from what i remember, you need to cut the leading edge of the bumper, where it butts up to the wing at either side. the rs one is longer

MEGGGAAAA - i'll bodge it :D

hopefulyl combine is going to come round when he is less busy...dirty *****

As mentioned the only way to have it perfectly line up is get the bodyshop to work wonders!

Otherwise its the usual, cut, tape, bolt etc.... You do run the risk of the bulging or popping off if you do that tho as the pressure build up when going over bumps etc...

Plus the "line" up is never correct that way.

Has - did a bodyshop do yours ? if so,do you mind me asking how much it cost?

What was the full procedure on yours and how its it attached to the wing

Many thanks dude.

not sure why no1 has ever done a "Fitting guide..."

i may well have to do one :P

the 172/182 bumper is straight whereas the other bumpers dip at the ends. you need to cut the corners of the bumper so that it fits under the winds then smooth it!
