Have to agree with Dan, like gixxers, but nothing earlier than a K6!

  182 has now gone!
Id love to have a bike, but couldnt afford to have one and the car.. couldnt bring myself to sell the car.. So I just have a blast on the back of my dads when I can!!

He has just traded it in for this last weekend... (He should have never sold his MV Agusta! before the Ninja)

I love the latest R6's, but was never keen on them pre 2006 ones.

Which exhaust did you have on yours?

It looks pretty mean.

bizarrely the exhasut was made by a company something along the lines of "the carbon exhaust company"

With the lastest 08 R6 they have apparently sorted out the lack of torque, so you dont have to rev the balls of it to get performance, didnt bother me personally as a new rider, but it did get criticised quite a bit for that characteristic!

Id love another (in white and red), a post K6 GXR or a ZX636R... infact add a CBR600RR to that as well!! lol. Would probably stick to the Yam in all honesty, they hold their money quite well... will see closer to summer.

They have been around for a while, but recently have been rated a good exhauts for the money.

That's what I love about the 636 as soon as I rode one, the torque was great compared to my old GSXR600.

They are all great bikes now a days, it all just comes down to your bugdet and which one you see first.

I got my 636 dirt cheap so thats why I got it, if not it would of been a GSXR600 K6.

Now is great time to find a bargain.

I'd love one, but I've never done it as I know I'd kill myself or end up behind bars. That one looks awesome Ad.

^^ Thats an awesome looking bike.

172bhp is pretty impressive at the wheel.

What wheels are they?

Bikes are so much cooler than cars. Instant performance at a fraction of the price, amazing looks and you get the whole experience of being out there. Fair enough, you might get splatted but there are worse ways to go. I reckon an Atom comes close but it's just not the same.

Very very close.

For me and its something you can't get used to is the fact you don't belt up in anyway. It just feels alien, oh and whilst its not something I ever recommend, riding in a t-shirt and shorts is one kick way to short circuit your brain.

^ know what you mean, but the blue and white is "the gixxer colour" wereas the black is stealth.

Probably would go for the blue and white purely because my R6 was all black!

im leaving it till the summer, saw a poor lad on a rs125 fall off this morning on an icy corner, he was only going slow. felt well bad for him sat at the lights.

Had to get rid of my Hornet 600 for practicality reasons, but even though it's ultimately not hugely fast for a bike, first gear full throttle is still absolute WARP DRIVE. 0-60 in 3.9secs, proven. Which in anybody's book is pretty nippy. Tbh I never once thought I needed more power. If it wasn't going fast enough I was in too high a gear, and that was that.

PS: I don't want to MEET the guy who genuinely uses all 170bhp or whatever of a 1000cc sports bike on public roads.

^ Exactly the argument I use at work.

Guys at work, rib me for my '95'bhp bike that said 95bhp in a 180kg frame is still rapid as fooook lol and its my first bike

I can go WOT most places which makes it exciting too.

  Mk1 Eunos Roadster
Spot on. Wringing the neck of a 600 is better than getting frustrated at not being able to use the power of a 1 litre. Frustration makes you do silly things, and silly things in something with 1000bhp/ton are not a good idea!

Tank slappers ftl.

I'd LOVE the new Zx-10 but where can you honestly use that power.

Awaits the replies of saying overtaking is easier etc lol.

most "superbikes" will get left for dead on twisty roads by supermoto's,

the old man has a husaberg 650, and is only........wait for it....... 60bhp and will leave most bikes on twistie roads!
