Eventful thread title innit. Went for a bit of a blast over the weekend with a couple of mates because it was sunny and we washed them on friday........with 1 bucket between us:cool:. He's just sold his Ibiza cupra for this immaculate GTi to save some money and have some fun. VAG FTL.

Nothing special, point and shoot then just uploaded.
ON the way out of town, saw a mate at the side of the road. Only had it a week, lol.

Pretty good mate, stinks of fuel ATM though so need to have a look into that! The Brembos squeel like mad too, gonna get some decent pads and see what happens.....

FLOL! Yeah its Scragg, he looks like melon cat.

Aye, 406 Brembo's, same as the FRS and 20v coupe. Bolt straight onto non-RS hubs but you'll need to space the caliper over the disc and run wheel spacers. I needed 12mm.
 
To fit a non RS, you'll just need spacers, 172 discs and 3 1/2 washers to centre the caliper. To fit an RS, you'd need caliper brackets and wheel spacers.....
 
It's a 1.6.

Gem, it's kinda inbetween Rocester and Denstone. Other side of the JCB test track!
 
Looked JCB-ish if that makes sense? I'm so there today. LOL.


Scragg's GTi looks well too :D

lol its a 1.6 and its putting out 140bhp as well as being stripped to near an inch of its life. It needs a little bit more stopping power than the standard 1.6 brakes provide imo.

PMSL! It's behaved itself since the epic loom meltdown of a few months ago.

And yes they are real Brembo's. Which goes better? Haven't really tested it from a standstill or side by side. Me behind him, if he gets the jump on me, I'm not catching it at any great speed, this is only through 2nd and half of 3rd though. Very little in it TBH. The Clio warps it in the bends though as the GTI is standard.
