HELP!!

ok before i ask this question i just want to let you know i know nothing about engines so sorry if its a bit vage.

My 2000 1.2 clio is leaking alot of oil, it seems to be coming from the left hand side just under the belts, the part leakin looks a bit like a cylinder part and is leaking all over the chassis, and the stop and the oil light is flashing on the dashboard, Ive checked the oil, break fluid and power steering fluid but there all grand?

sounds like its leaking from the oil filter.
