Skittish at high speeds

  Cup and R6
Is it just my car or are the Cups rather skittish when going around 70mph, i mean the back end even tried to step out today on a sweeping motorway slip road, shat myself lol

How are your rear shocks? any knocks or rattles?

I had a badly knackered rear shock and it caused the back end to go out VERY easily!

2 new shocks and its now sorted.

Tho my rear tyres are getting low in tread and its starting too again, just not so easily.

tyres are good, shocks i cant really hear anything from the back, im still getting used to all the other rattles and squeaks, it did step out very easily though, incase they are knackered what am i talking price wise for 2 new ones?

maybe worth just buying an uprated suspension

Does the back bounce around when cornering on bumpy roads?
Mine did this when I first got it, 2 knackered shocks on the back,
replaced and all was fine.

My car doesn't get skittish until 120mph, slightest bump and its
a bit of a handfull, stable up till that point though and i'm running
standard shocks with Eibach Proline Springs.

havent noticed it being bouncy, but will take it out to the shops later on and give it a little test, ive been taking it easy till i get the cambelt done in september, but couldnt resist the loud pedal before and took it up to redline, id actually forgot how quick it was and how nice it sounds after 5k, 18 months in a diesel, forgot what i was missing lol

yeah i know what you mean, the VAGs feel fast but when you floor it and think whoa this has got pulling power, you look down and your doing 15mph and then its time to change gear lol

this is the first NA car ive had so its hard getting used to having to be above 5k for power lol, oh well its worth it to hear the baby scream, and the fuel economy is not bad either, im managing 45mpg atm, lot better than expected!

45mpg!! the best I manage is 40mpg on the motorway taking it easy,
but I do boot it everywhere else.

The only thing with a NA car is selecting the right gear for the corner,
once you've had your cambelt done you'll be down shifting into 4-5k rpm
and sh!tting yourself at how quick it pulls out of the corners.

i drive at 56mph on the motorways even lorries overtake me lol, once we get into the twisties i cant resist a quick blast though, roll on september the 8th, but then ill have to wait for the cambelt to settle :(

im still getting used to being in different gears for corners lol
