Got my cup booked in for a cambelt change at Birchdown in early september, having the cambelt, tensioners, aux belt, water pump and coolant change for a brilliant price

i was just wondering is it worth getting the dephaser done at the same time? and is it worth doing or not likely to fail and what extra cost do you think it would be? cheers

Yes mate I would, they did mine beginning of month. when you there next month, im there again around that time for me front bearings and wishbones changing.

i would it get it done yeah. it's only £113 plus vat retail from renault so if your forking out for everything else, might as well get that done too. peace of mind and all that.

Im there on 2nd , You wouldnt want it to conk out! would be a lot more to repair. I would just do it.

just about managed to budget next month for the cambelt stuff

saying that im starting at a new gym on the 1st where i have a more steady income coming in, ill email birchdown and ask what extra itl cost, are there anymore essential engine bits that if break take the whole thing out in the cup?

Not really, but things can go at anytime! even a new cambelt. I would get water pump changed to while they doing work.
