Craig, yes you can...so long as it has the cd changer connection, then its not a problem, just doesn't charge the Ipod!

That's Renault tunepoint fitted to mine, had to remove the CD changer under my seat because there is only one connection on the tape deck.

Works with iphone too, says it isn't supported when you plug it in but if you play a song on shuffle before you plug it in then it works fine and you can skip tracks etc. Also charges iphone/ipod. :)

Floridadaz on here sells the best option imo.

£10 gets you the AUX lead and radio keys. This will let you control the songs via the ipod which is much better if you have thousands of songs because its a pain in the arse to find them on the connects2 things.

Also works as a hands free with phones with a headphone jack or adapter i.e the iPhone

Only works with the newest headunits (update list) though.

I do them too ;)

I like the sound of the tunepoint thingy (i'm not into stereo's & technology at all) but I really don't fancy giving up the cd changer. My car has a tape deck (tuner list) and a changer.
I'd only want to plug the ipod in every now & again, what stuff would I need to buy ?

Sorry for the noobiness, but just to consolidate...

My 182 was purchased 2nd hand, and it has the AUX cable in front of the gearstick. IS THIS THE CONNECTS2 unit? It doesn't allow control of the iPod, only volume as it's just an aux plug.

What kit do I need to enable changing of songs/pausing etc on my iPod?

I would ask MTAudio I got mine from him, just an aux cable plugs into the back of the standard update list unit then bring the cable round the front which ever way you like, through the ash tray is a good place.

You control the songs from the ipod, volume from the steering column. Easy quick and cheap.

I have this cable in my 182. Works fine for me.
