You watch the film "Gran Turino" and cringe at the guy cleaning it in the background with a.... sponge.

Im not addicted to detailing. Cant f**king stand detailing a car...

Its the product of all the labour im addicted too

I washed my 182 about 3 times a week when I had it, I can count the amount of times I've washed my 172 since I bought it in Oct on one hand. I would have no qualms about using a sponge either :rasp:

Its probably twice as big nwo though :o

I always wash with a mitt but i havnt taken much care with the 182, intill invest some real time into the correction of it i will continue to foam and wash it in an hour once a week.

i wash the van with an old tshit once and sum hand wash in a buket. would never use it on the clio lol wookeys fist and 2 bucket method for bluey

Wash mitts do just as much 'damage' as sponges. Hell Zymol sell sponge's rather than mitts.

I use a 20p sponge on Trevor. He's scratch free. @ 20p a go its cheaper to buy a new one every few washes than buying a mitt.

I got a free wash mitt so i use that. Other wise i would use a sponge. Im no detailer. Wouldnt mind getting into it though, just get bored :(

Did your mum give you pocket money for washing her car?

Until I get a massive garage, a full time job and a decent car I won't take detailing all that seriously.

I do infact like to be abit anal about it being clean though, but not to the point I will get to given the space/money/time.
