new member here :) question on tuning n/a

  Corsa C 1.8 SRi
alright everyone ive came over from the corsa-c site, own a 1.8 SRi n/a tuned.. my mate just got himself a 182 the other week, he is considering n/a tuning like i have done, although i have little knowledge with the clio engines .. wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, i was thinking :

manifold and cat-back system
inlet manifold (not sure if there is a better alternative to the 182 standard inlet ? )
fast road cams
sealed induction (heard the v6 airbox was a good upgrade?)
remap to tie in all the mods

not sure what else? also how much gains approx would that give on a 182, as i know its already in a high state of tune from the factory so cant get too much more out of them without ITBs or turbo ? myself have gone from 125bhp standard to around 175bhp in my corsa, doubt the clio would make the same gains im thinking 210 max?

manifolds are spot on as they are leave alone;)

yozza exhaust and decat

matched inlets (do a search)

i dont know what the gains are with cams would say between 8-15 bhp

either leave the standard airbox as it is or you could always put an aftermarket panel filter in or like you said the v6 airbox.

remap well worth it(depending on what map you have) helps smooth the power out and the from cold driving is slightly better.

ahh right :) do you know if yozza do a sports cat he doesnt want to be messing around come MOT time, ill have a look at matched inlets cheers :) ive told him to set aside around £1000 or so am i right thinking thats enough ? or is it more expensive with the clios ? any idea on power figures after those mods

Don't think yozza do a sports cat, the cat back is £400ish + delivery from btm.

the 182 cat is already a good item (a lot better than some of these 'sports cats' you see on the market), just got for a decent cat back exhaust system.

Depending if the car has RS stamped inlets would determine what gains you would see from inlet matching.

Plenty of cam profiles available... CatCams, Schrick, Piper etc.

yes you could fit an Espace V6 airbox, but the gains are a little up in the air.. Some see gains, some do not!

Mapping depends where in the country you are :)
