can you put a ph1 clyinder head on a ph2 or vice versa, are there any differences between the two

Ph1 has larger exhaust ports as std.

How can u tell the difrence wen on the car? I have a ph1 and wen it went to renault for engine change i asked to make sure a ph1 head goes back on but i want to check

you can't without pulling the exhaust manifold off the head to have a look

na all inlet ports (on the head) are the same, you are correct about the exhaust ports

Few mm at a guess. If you ever get chance to look at the marks the exhaust leaves on the head compared to the port size there is huge room to bore out.

both ph1 and ph2 use the exact same breather setup, it's only the 182 which is different, and the separator from that is 100% NOT interchangeable with an earlier engine
