Hi Everyone

  Clio 182 Trophy #229
Hi everyone,

I have owned Ford Focuses for the last few years and i think they are great cars. However i always been a massive fan of RenaultSport and wanted a RenaultSport Clio since long before i had a driving licence. After three years of driving and a lot of saving up i found myself in a position to look for my first RenaultSport!
I am VERY pleased to say i seem to have found my next car. It is an immaculate Silver Clio 182 Cup with just 22,741 miles on the clock. I am going to go and collect it on Friday afternoon and it feels like all my birthdays come in one, i can't wait!

Good stuff :) looking forward to seeing some pics! :)

It is the painful bit today, getting all the money sorted out! I will deffinitely put some pics up when i get the car on Friday, im not sure i can wait until Friday lol

Welcome to CS. I'll keep a eye out for you as I am always around Winchester.

Thanks mate, yeah please do, it would be good to talk to someone who has some experience owning and running these. I will be back down in Winchester at the weekend. If you see me driving about just give me a flash (of your lights) lol

I collected her today. What a brilliant car! I have had several cars stuck to my bumper trying to get me to race them (an EP3 Civic Type R and a Golf GTI MK5 among them) but appart from that i am loving it.
A few observations i would make:
1. If you come off the throttle hard in 2nd gear once it is really fired up (between 5500rpm and 7000rpm) there is a bang under the floor (dont know if this is worn mounts or if this just happens as it has only done 22,000 miles)
2. It is far more top endy than i expected, much like a VTec
3. The front end grip isnt quite as good as i expected but i put that down to Falken Tyres not the PE2's it should have.
4. The standard exhaust is a lot quieter than i thought it might be (may have to fit a cat back at some point down the line)

All in all though i am loving it!

Its always painful watching your hard earned money being handed over to some randomer but aslong as your 100% happy with the car it more than compensates :)
