This is why I was getting confused, I couldn't work out why it was where it was. I guess if I turn it round, and put the plastic cover on it then my boot carpet will go down properly.
I took it out, copper greased the bolts, turned it round and put it back. It's not as if without it there the seats will fold flat. I'm going to tell myself it's a rear strut brace, and leave it there.
I was gonna say its backwards haha. Took mine out the other week, 2 side bolts were easy to get out but the bolt underneath it was stupid hard to get out. Managed it in the end and copper greased it so if I ever take it out again it'll be easier
