hmmm out of all the above and from my general jist of peoples views titanium is anywhere near as nice as compared to say ICEBERG which only sold less than a quarter as many?

titanium would have been my last choice (personal opinion)

anymore views on this?

It was a millenium era thing - silver was all the rage in 2000
One of my mates went to buy a white 106 gti and the salesman convinced him that silver would hold its value better and look better LOL

Silver was the highest seller by miles on 106's, the quiksilver was made exclusively in silver
Silver ph1 clios are common as hell

It's just one of those fad's

Titanium is a nicer colour.

It's not always what people spec. They just build them in popular colours. People will always want silver cars.

Ok but how do you know for sure that you're not just saying that because Titanium is a colour you see a lot of? :D.

There were plenty of silver cars being sold back then! It was THE colour

The guy we bought the 200 from had eleven new cars that he handed over on the 1st of March.

Out of those eleven, nine of them were white! lol.

People will be complaining about them in years to come.

Same reason why there's so many white cars these days I suspect

I prefer Titanium to Iceberg personally but then I am a bit biased in that regard. If you're getting a ph1 it's gotta be a flamer surely? They look ace.

Didn't BG considerably outsell Titanium in 182's? Shows how tastes change.

<3 Titanium! Best Silver i've seen on any car. It's actually different.

I just thought so many cars were silver because it was easy to keep looking clean.

That's why I picked it. Lol.

I prefer iceberg over titanium on the Phase 1.

It looks far too common on the Phase 2 though for some reason, probably just because there were only 99 built.

(1 of which i wrote off, another will be with me this week end lol)

Titanium looks truely epic on a nice sunny day after a good clean and polish!

This. My nextdoor neighbour has a silver Corsa. When I stick my freshly washed/polished/waxed Titanium Clio next to hers it shows what a lovely colour it is. The vauxhall looks so dull and flat in comparison.

The only problem is trying to clean the fucker in sunshine - You end up with a kind of snow-blindness as the flecks reflect so much sunlight. Gotta do it with sunglasses on!

Lexus started doing silver cars in a big way and it sort of caught on for a few years.
