Try a high power jet wash first to blast most of the flaky bits off as your splitters have had a lacquer coat, after this any stubborn bits of lacquer left will need wet and dry sanding flat, just becareful at this stage not to hit the primary layer which contains the carbon weave. Then...

I didn't realise the newer ones did that, been a few years since I was last panicking at scruiteneering when they pushed the button and nothing happens lol Does it just cut the main earth cable? Or is it more complex than that?

Great video matey, those throttle boddies are quite therapeutic. We used to have issues with the electronic cut off's not killing the charging wire from the alternator, basically the engine keeps running off the alternator. I'm nearly 100% sure we switched it round to disconnect the earth...
